Occupations in management, professional, and related occupations make of 35% of the Katy workforce while sales and office occupations make up 27% and service occupations are next at 13%. Right around 77 percent of workers in Katy are employed by companies, 12 percent by the government and 5 percent are self-employed..
The average salary for jobs in Katy is $35,708 while the median income of households in Katy grew from $51,111 in2000 to $63,690 in 2009 and the median house or condo value (for the same time period) grew from $91,000 to $130,873.
